This is a good title

Ethnic Studies 122AC, I must say, is pretty laid back. Very unconventional, which is a nice balance to all the other classes I’ve been taking here at Cal. People bring up a lot of good points, and it’s kind of nice to not have to do too much reading/writing. Groups get to make a short 2-3 minute film about diversity instead of a 6-page paper =]. The professor is kind of weird, though. Very disorganized and flow of the moment… kind of. Anyway, I think it’s a great class to take to fulfill arts&lit breadth and AC! Theres  basically no writing assignments (except freewrites in class), most of the class is watching other groups do their presentations, and sometimes, when all goes well, we watch movie clips! =] Sounds fun, huh? And the best part is that she says she doesn’t mind giving the whole class A’s if we’re all good (clean up after ourselves, don’t come late for class, do the work [which is very little])! Crazy, huh?! Computer science, on the other hand…

Things are starting to get a little more complicated, and I’m starting to fall behind. Last night I almost missed the deadline (11:59pm) to turn in homework =[. It was like 10pm and I thought I had already done my homework, and was going to try to shorten my code. Turns out, the code I wrote was so messed up and confusing that I couldn’t even follow it. Worse still was that it didn’t work sometimes. I got so scared, and the panic made it worse. I was not being productive whatsoever. Trying to write a new code didn’t work because I could only think of the wrong way to do it. At around 11:30pm I finally fixed up my old code. It was still confusing and ugly (we get points off for bad style), but at least it worked. At around 11:50ish, I finished writing test cases and turned it in. Closest call yet. I gotta start finishing my homework the night before like I did when classes first started…
