Hello!

Okay, okay, I really have not been good about keeping up with this. School and work is just so busy! And on top of that, clubs are going to start meeting soon. So I might just start posting short thoughts that happen every now and then. I  haven’t completely forgotten about this site though! I actually saved a little reminders about what I wanted to talk about!

But first, school. So school started a week ago, and so far I LOVE all my classes! Two harder classes (Math54 and CS61A) balance out with work and two breadth classes (PACS164A and Philosophy3). I must say, I’ve missed math… kind of. I really think I’m starting to move away from being a math major. I might do a switch-a-roo and major in CS with a math minor. Who knows though. CS61A is moving pretty fast; we’ve basically learned all of Scheme in the past week! (That took me 8 weeks over the summer!). Math is much much harder than I expected. Matrices are not so easy anymore, and I already feel like I’m falling behind. PACS164A is… quite interesting. We meditate at the beginning of every class, and I love it! It really helps me relax after a long day. I am still waitlisted for the course though, as with Philos3. I want to get in already! I’m also thinking of switching my CS section… Anyway, Philosophy seems pretty interesting, and I can’t wait to delve deeper into the subject.

This brings me to a point (thats the next thing after this one!!) I jotted down to remember to post about. All the super awesome great philosophers of the past were, thats right, MATHEMATICIANS! ‘Cause we just so awesome. Too much brain power. Just kidding. But it was pretty interesting to think about at the moment I realized it…

Next point (yea, point!) is in math class. Discussion. So the GSI (who’s actually pretty cool) is trying to make up a center of mass problem for us to do, and he asks if anyone has any favorite points so he can create a triangle. Being in a math class means that no one says anything. So he chooses the first point, (0,2). Then (3,1). ‘That’s a good point’ he says. In my head I’m thinking ‘Oh man, if only I had the nerve to say something! I would totally choose (5,3).’ And then he chose it. IT WAS MIND-BLOWING! Well, not really, but still! It made me feel really awesome… like maybe I could be a math major! Ahahaha, pretty lame right? Oh well, it really surprised me and made my day at the same time =].

Now, apartment news. Our apartment must be one of the biggest fails ever. Our kitchen pipe fell off, Carol’s outlet broke, and light bulbs burn out like students after finals week -.- So basically, that means that our kitchen smells like poo (smelly food water). We got to meet our neighbors that way though! Apparently our kitchen miniflood created a leak on the roof of their apartment (they live below us), and they came to see us. They were really nice though! They helped us mop it up =]. Blah blah blah we called the Premium Properties people and they fixed it the next day.

I love our apartment. I love my roomies :) <3. And I don’t say that often! So you guys can take my word for it *cough* exceptWhitneycauseshesameaniebuttmunch *cough* :) . We’ve had so many bonding moments I can’t even begin to start telling them all! I have a feeling that this year will be pretty epic. Whitney is converting meeeeeeeee! Converting me and turning me girlier, ahahah! Which is good :) . And in turn, I’m forbidding her from buying stuff! Isn’t that the start of a wonderful relationship? :) And Cynthia is a freaking good coooook!!! Chicken and veggiess! So good.

Yea, as you can see, I’ve had a very eventful, happy start of the semester. I like my schedule, and I hope that good times never endddddd :].
